The surrounding castles


The region is well known for its numerous exceptional castles, full of history, anecdotes and life. Set off to discover them during your visit to Clos Saint Lubin. Start with a visit to the Château de Courances, a magnificent Louis XIII style building with its 75-hectare park classified as a Remarkable Garden

Continue with the discovery of the Château-Museum of Nemours, located on the banks of the Loing river, this 12th century castle today houses pieces of archaeology, earthenware, paintings and sculptures.

Continue your journey with a visit to the Château de Fontainebleau, which was a royal hunting residence in the Middle Ages, the home of François I and the favorite place of Napoleon Bonaparte in the 19th century.

Continue with a visit to the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte which will reveal many treasures: furniture, tapestries, works of art, the King's bedroom, the Salon des Muses and the dining room.

Finish with the Château de Blandy-les-Tours, a fortified castle with five towers which nestles in the heart of the countryside.
